About Us
Bristol Baking is a gluten-free, dairy free commercial bakery out of southeastern Michigan. We supply a gluten-free hamburger/sandwich bun to our customers across the country. A member of our family must adhere to a gluten-free/dairy-free diet. We developed this recipe over 10 years ago and have been baking and perfecting these buns ever since.
We have been so overwhelmed by the positive response that this product has evoked that with much encouragement (and begging) we opened our commercial bakery and website to make them more easily available. We have perfected the recipe very carefully and have come up with the bun that you see in our photos. We slice these buns in half and use them when making sandwiches, burgers, toast, French toast, open-faced pizzas, panini, garlic toast and many other bread related menu-items such as bread crumbs, stuffing etc. In fact we even wrap a half bun around a hot dog and they work beautifully.
We developed these because quite frankly, none of the GF bread products smelled or tasted like gluten bread. In addition (to our great frustration) nearly all gluten-free bread products crumble easily under normal "bread" use, i.e. after the second or third bite of your delicious sandwich or juicy burger. We decided that there had to be a better way. After ten years and thousands of hours in the test kitchen we offer you our product. Simply put, our "Bristol Buns" smell, taste and act like gluten bread.
